I gotta admit, I love Fridays. Not because it is the end of the work week, but because it means it's the beginning of the weekend. It also means more family time, outdoors time, playing games time, reading time, etc.
I'm one who freely admits that although I am a writer, I am first a wife and a mom (and a grandmother). I try to keep the weekends free of writing-related activities. Doesn't always work, of course, but I do my best.
With the trees shedding leaves, and the crisper mornings, fall is my favorite time of the year, closely followed by winter. I know that's contrary to most folks, but I simply cannot help it.
Hopefully, this weekend, we are going to go up to the state park and enjoy the changing leaves and crisp air. As a matter of fact, the leaves might be all gone up there, but we'll see.
And I use weekends to recharge my writing batteries, to take as complete of a break as I can from writing. It almost always works, too, because when Monday morning comes, along with a slew of emails, I'm refreshed and revitalized, and ready to face another week.

Fall and the holidays are my favorite time of the year. I clump them all together. September through the first of January is one big family celebration. And you gotta keep those batteries charged. Have a great time!

Hi Katie,
Yes, fall is a beautiful time of the year. Here in Australia we call it autumn.

I wrote about fall being my favorite time of year on my blog too. Though, that was a couple of weeks ago since we're now getting snow. Little farther north than you I guess. Love what you wrote. Have a great weekend!
Fall is my second favorite season. Spring is my first. I enjoy watching the world 'wake up' after a long nap, even in Florida or the Caribbean or wherever I am at the moment.
