I got an extra hour of reading in plus I could buy more books with the lunch money my parents thought I used to buy sustenance. I didn't feel like I was cheating them since I considered I was getting sustenance far more important than mere food. When I got to graduate school and my metabolism changed, I started gaining weight like crazy. I made sure that I only carried cash enough for a couple of used books and I always visited the used book store before a meal. It worked perfectly.Mark Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00601652717542654531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5986859118996444922.post-68299058341061762092009-01-11T21:27:00.000-05:002009-01-11T21:27:00.000-05:00I wish we could get our grandson to read with a fl...I wish we could get our grandson to read with a flashlight or any other way. I tended to do the same with my kids--unless I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the soft glow of a light down the hall.Beth Groundwaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13999372882748655834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5986859118996444922.post-31855713675228264582009-01-09T17:41:00.000-05:002009-01-09T17:41:00.000-05:00This takes me back to my childhood!
